Urth Caffe, Jeddah - Jan19

Working with Saudi based specifier Moataz Makki, CTD Architectural Tiles were tasked with supplying floor tiles to the latest Jeddah based outlet for US organic coffee chain, Urth Caffe.

The design brief was a relatively easy one, an encaustic effect floor tile that would provide a heritage type charm but that could be installed as part of a quick fit out and that offered excellent slip resistance qualities. Against these parameters our Victorian Heritage range in the Blakeney colourway was an easy choice.

When it came to transacting the project, we worked closely with Dubai based Fit Out Contractor Finishes and Beyond to navigate the complicated processes of selling goods from the UK into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Supported by our experienced Specification Support Team and the global reach of Saint Gobain, goods were supplied on time and in full, completely in line with the build programme.

Commenting on the project, CTDA Specification Manager Levi Wright said “the CTDA value in the project here was all in the logistics, often when we are specified abroad, the product installed defaults to the local supply chain rather than the specification but our experience of similar projects ensured this was not required. I am looking forward to supporting this clients design ambitions in the future.”
