It’s official. You can’t get through Newcastle International Airport Passport Control without stepping on the Terrazzo effect polished floor tiles supplied by CTD Architectural Tiles.

Working with architect Greenwell Design, the original brief was Terrazzo but due to height restrictions, it couldn’t be used. CTD Architectural Senior Sales Manager, Sean Lane said “We don’t just supply tiles for a project without reviewing and making sure that each tile specified meets the requirements of the project. In this case the Terrazzo originally specified was unsuitable. I was able to offer a solution by using the Marvel Gems range which is a 10mm porcelain terrazzo effect tile.”

Marvel Gems 600x600mm Pearl and Grey Polished were chosen to fulfill the technical requirements as the area will have very high footfall traffic therefore the tile needed to be robust and easy to clean. A polished surface was chosen to keep in line with the original Terrazzo brief.
