Indoor, Outdoor Flooring - Jan 20
We are delighted to have recently supplied our range of Concept tiles for a new renovation project for an open plan living space as part of a residential project. The brief was to create a seamless indoor, outdoor living space with a modern, contemporary feel.
The design theme of bringing the indoors out and vice versa is a growing trend, blending your floor tiles can beautifully bridge the gap between indoor and outdoor spaces. It creates a continuation of stunning tiles and can blur the lines between inside and out to create a greatly increased sense of space.
Our 1200x600mm Concept Greige tiles were used on the internal walls, floors and fabricated and cut to create skirting tiles. Carrying the tiled floor up on to the wall as skirting helps the room to look bigger creating a seamless effect softening the transition between wall and floor.
The 600x600x20mm Greige tiles from our Concept XT20 range were used for the external patio area creating that seamless transition between inside and outside.
Concept is a stunning outdoor porcelain range with a concrete-like tactile effect. The porcelain tiles in this collection have a versatile, trendy look and come in six colours and three cut sizes. This tile range is perfect for creating continuity when tiling indoor to outdoor and its slip resistance and durable qualities make it an ideal choice to use in high-traffic areas. Concept XT20 offers a wide variety of installation options, all with a thickness of 20mm.
On the project Mark Falcus commented "Following a discussion with Cath in the showroom, she explained that she was looking for a large format tile that had a matching external tile which would be suitable for her new kitchen extension and patio area. Cath had a vision of what she wanted and had been looking at various other tile ranges, but she was struggling to find a suitable colour that would complement the décor and design of her new kitchen units. I presented Cath with a few ranges from the CTD Architectural portfolio for consideration. From the options she looked at, the Concept range was a standout tile that she was happy to use. We sampled two of the colours from the range and it was the Concept Greige tiles that were the preferred option. The tiles were a good match to the colour of the kitchen units and provided a neutral tone within the area of the kitchen and external patio. The large slab concrete effect hit the design brief that she was looking for. Gav at GBL Property Services was tasked with installing the tiles, and his workmanship was carried out in fine detail. Cath was really happy with the final results."
CTD Architectural Tiles offer a wide range of tiles for creating continuous floors between indoor and outdoor spaces, including its new Porcelain Pavers tile ranges which recreate a number of architectural materials such as cement and stone, all with a thickness of 20mm.
