Nandos, Plymouth

Nando’s recently opened its new restaurant in the new £53 million Drake Circus Leisure development in Plymouth. CTD Architectural Tiles are proud to have long been involved with many restaurant projects and have recently supplied tiles for this latest project for Nando’s which included the supply of high quality bespoke tiles.

We were tasked with following a brief that had themes of Portuguese and South African origins, relative to Nando’s as a whole. This was achieved throughout but in particular the bespoke floor tiles supplied. Plus 3 Cement - Tortora 800x800x10mm was chosen as the base tile as it achieved the technical slip resistance requirements and it was the precise shade of grey for the project. It then had a unique Portuguese blue floral pattern printed onto the tile to create the main focal point of the restaurant.

Our urban concrete range Plus 3 Cemento is available in five sizes and five colorways for both walls and floors. You can also pair it with Plus 3 Paper, to create a unique, intriguing collection defined by texture and an urban feel.

As well as this, we also supplied Highland - Moonlight 75x300x9mm tiles around the pillars of the restaurant. A wall tile collection in a 75x300mm brick format, with a handcrafted appearance and the characteristic shine of classic glazed tiles. The tiles in this collection feature an engraved geometrical pattern. Highland can be used in environments of all kinds to provide an interesting feature wall.

Floor And Wall Tiles For Main Seating And Bathrooms

In the bathrooms we combined a mixture of our Evolution range, Amber, Nero & Claro were chosen in sizes 150x150 & 75x150mm for the walls. The colours chosen are unique to the brief and create a colourful and creative feature. We also supplied tiles from our Urban range on the bathroom floors, which again were specified as they achieved the technical slip rating requirement.

We were very privileged to work alongside Harrison Architects and Harvey Shop Fitters on this fantastic project. Photographs by Tina Reid at Arch.Photos on behalf of Nandos.

Demonstrating the level of detail that goes into every project, our work with the Nando’s restaurant chain required a unique approach both on this project and previous projects we’ve completed for Nando’s.
