Cafe Design

Terrazzo has been the key tile trend over the last couple of years and we have seen plenty of interest in our terrazzo effect porcelain. Whether it be residential schemes to hotels and restaurants, terrazzo is being widely specified by designers. At CTD Architectural Tiles we have been playing around with different terrazzo effect tiles and trying to make connections to coordinating wall tiles where the flecks in the pattern link to block colour walls. We have come up with a mood board design that reminds us of a bright and breezy café or dessert shop scheme.

Terrazzo Effect Porcelain Tiles

Ranges: Frammenti | Venice Villa

With all of our products we are striving to achieve a balance between on-trend design, high-level functionality and commercial pragmatism (is it sensibly priced and available). We think that we achieve all three with our Venice Villa and Frammenti collections, beautiful range of durable porcelain that can be appreciated for its design with two options of grain size. These ranges also have a matt (natural) surface which is easy to maintain and clean. The tiles within these collections allow designers and specifiers the opportunity to create on-trend interior spaces, especially with the unusual green, pink, blue and yellow colours.

This mood board design is intended to create a ‘secret oasis’, exuding a sense of tranquillity, complete with hints of luxurious design details. Soft pastel tones to emphasise the openness and movement throughout the space, with terrazzo effect tiles adding a striking element, creating a sense of timeless elegance.

Our Terrazzo Effect collections works as a perfect substitute or complement to traditional terrazzo; these porcelain tiles replicate the bespoke blend of stone chips in resin or cement and are perfect if you are looking to create a bold statement wall or floor.
