The Broadcroft Hotel, Glasgow
Located in Kirkintilloch, Glasgow, the newly renovated and rebranded Broadcroft Hotel has completed a stunning transformation both inside and out, and the CTD Architectural Team are proud to have contributed to this amazing project.
Featuring an array of stylish and functional tiles throughout, the hotel has been refurbished in all areas, including the entrance, reception area, café bar-grill, function rooms and balconies.
The reception area has been fitted with Realstone Slate Iron, a 746x746mm stone effect floor tile with hardwearing qualities, ensuring its longevity in a high-traffic foyer area. The neutral shade complements the natural materials and warm tones featured on the walls and furniture, crafting a contemporary aesthetic that is appropriately welcoming.
The hotel boasts a new café bar-grill which continues and develops the style of the reception area with statement pieces. Key amongst these is Havana White Garden, a 223x223mm patterned tile which adorns the bar area and draws you into the space. The Encaustic-inspired floor tile features a monochromatic blue-toned palette which contrasts with the warmer tones of the wooden floor, creating a dramatically styled space.
Our contribution continues outside, with both the entrance area and balconies showcasing British Stone in Anthracite. This 600x600x20mm outdoor porcelain collection is a popular choice and delivers a sleek, sophisticated finish in areas which need to make a strong positive impression on visitors. The British Stone range is one of our growing collection of 20mm porcelain pavers, manufactured with the hard-wearing qualities necessary to withstand outdoor environments.
Additionally, the hotel’s WCs are styled with a combination of Diesel Glass Blocks in Dusty Black and Contrasti in Teal and Teal Décor. The rich tones and high-contrast decorative pattern serves impactful style and makes for a memorable moment when visiting the hotel.
Owners Rachel and John Smith designed and project managed the refurbishment and our CTD Architectural Tiles Specification Manager Craig Boyd was delighted to work with them to achieve the ambitious renovation. We are very pleased with the result of this remarkable project which is sure to be a beloved local venue.
