Manchester King Street Townhouse - Boutique Hotel

Located in the upper King Street Conservation area of Manchester, The King Street Town House Hotel takes its residence within an extraordinary Italian renaissance building which was built in 1872 and was designed by renowned architect Edward Salomons.

With such high standards and exceptional foundations the King Street House Hotel is part of the Eclectic Hotel Group and now owns 4 well-established hotels in Manchester. Eclectic Hotel Group co-owner Sally O’Loughlin directly approached Rob Lynch - Specification Sales Manager for CTD Architectural Tiles.

CTD Architectural Tiles supplied tile ranges sourced from Italy and Portugal for rooms including the main entrance, reception, WCs, bathrooms, bar areas, fireplaces and a stunning barbeque area.

CTD Architectural Tiles supplied the fabulous Evolution Marble Nero Marquina and a complementary Statuario marble tile to adorn the Town House Hotel floor helping to create and enhance its imprinting first impressions.

Our bold yet elegant Evolution Marble tile range comes in five versatile sizes: 120*15, 120*60, 60*60, 60x15 and 15x15 in a natural and stunning polished version and our Statuario Matt is available in 60x30.

Transcending regal elegance was high on our list of trends to achieve and our new Lisbon Hexagon fit the bill perfectly for the King Street Townhouse Main Bar.

An exciting and modern interpretation of a traditional tile, the Lisbon technical porcelain tile comes in 6 sizes, 30 colours and plain, riven, diamond stud, square stud or round stud finishes.

The King Street Townhouse terrace serves as a social meeting point for hotel customers to enjoy their luxury surroundings and relax.

With this said it was paramount for this area to have suitable tiles with hardwearing properties whilst being aesthetically pleasing.

CTD Architectural Tiles specification manager Rob Lynch sourced and provided CTD Memory Mood Copper, Decor Mood 8 & 9 in a size 200x200 for The King Street Town House Hotel terrace as it fit the bill perfectly.

CTD Architectural Tile range Lisbon works fantastically well when combined with Bernini Polished 300x100 and K Greige Levigata Opaca Grey marble effect porcelain 300x600. This imaginative and creative mix of tile ranges has helped to create the overall design flow throughout this inspiring Manchester City Centre building.

Architectural Tiles Specification Manager Rob Lynch states ‘This project was a joy to carry out as it pushed creative boundaries whilst having specific requirements and expectations which we were happy and proud to fulfil within our deadline. It was especially pleasing to meet the client’s very specific requirements around the V rating so that the variation of natural stone was achieved without sacrificing technical performance.’
