Flint House Police Rehabilitation Centre

Flint House is the Police Rehabilitation Centre based in South Oxfordshire which provides support for sick and injured police officers, helping them to return to full operational health via a specialised programme of therapies and treatments.

CTD Architectural Tiles were delighted to be part of the Centre’s latest project involving a brand new Hydrotherapy pool, a beautifully constructed and finished new swimming / exercise pool and totally new changing rooms.

Our Realstone range was specified for this exciting project and installed by Crown Ceramics. Realstone perfectly captures the authentic look of limestone, in a strong, durable porcelain tile available in 3 colours and a wide variety of sizes and surface finishes. Combining natural beauty with the strength of porcelain stoneware, these tiles proved ideal for creating the calming, tranquil aesthetic needed for the project, whilst fulfilling all the anti-slip properties required to make the environment safe.

CTD Architectural Tiles were asked to come up with a bespoke scheme which worked around the existing pool dimensions and layout. The tiles needed to run seamlessly throughout the area to create a neat style. Where the existing gully channels were staying in situ, we were also tasked with fabricating bespoke channel pieces for drainage. The other custom element of the project was creating L-Shape corner pieces to cap over the pool edge, enabling the project to be finished off neatly.

CTD Architectural Tiles worked with Bickerdike Allen Partners Architects and Feltham Construction to complete this project.
