Forth Banks

We are delighted to have recently supplied Phase 1 of the Forth Banks apartment scheme in Newcastle. Working with Main Contractor Marcus Worthington and tiling contractor P. Plunkett (Tiling Contractors), CTD Architectural Tiles Senior Sales Manager Sean Lane supplied 400x250mm CTD Foster Coal for the walls and 450x450mm Meier Light on the floors for a modern, clean scheme, perfect for this 280 apartment development.

Forth Banks offers views over the river Tyne and was the site of the world’s first purpose built locomotive works where George Stephenson built 'The Rocket'. With two further blocks under construction this is a flagship project for the regeneration of this area of Newcastle.

On the project Sean Lane commented "It's always great to get a major project on the company doorstep and with over 10'000 sqm specified, this is a major project in Newcastle. It was a tricky design brief that had to consider a clean and stylish future proof design, affordability, availability of volume and specific technical performance of the floor tiles, in the case of our Meier range,+36PTV (wet). The feedback from our clients has been great so far and we look forward to supporting the further phases to this scheme."
