The South Rotunda Refurbishment

CTDA Scala is a range of matt wall tiles which can be placed horizontal, vertical or even in a herringbone design.

Each of the plain colour matt finish tiles works particularly well with the Kesme Mosaic from the same range to create stunning feature walls and borders.

Restored to its former glory, the South Rotunda building has been taken off the ‘at risk’ list and is a fully functional space occupied by owners Malin Group – A Marine engineering firm.

Main Contractor Project Management & Construction announced that the project for the refurbishment of the South Rotunda building was given "highly Commended" award at the 2017 RICS awards in the hotly contested conservation category and passed on thanks and congratulations to everyone involved in the delivery of this excellent project including CTD Architectural Tiles.

We caught up with CTD Architectural Specification Manager Isabella Greer to see what she had to say about the project and what made it special to be part of.

I was born & raised in Glasgow till my late teens & extremely proud to call myself a Glaswegian, there is a “auld” Scottish saying “You can take the girl out of Glasgow, however you can never take Glasgow out the girl” with this in mind I was thrilled when GD Lodge Architects requested my assistance to source a tile range which would complement this historic building and bring it back to its former glory for all to admire and stand once again proud on the banks of the famous River Clyde.

The finished result speaks for itself, amazing.
