Harley-Davidson Cardiff Showroom - Aug 19
Harley-Davidson demands unique and particular attention to detail when it comes to the design of its showrooms. This is the fourth showroom in the franchise to use CTD Architectural tiles and cements our close working relationship with Harley-Davidson.
The project brief required a design that represented the quality and history of the world’s most iconic motorcycles, whilst also providing a customer-friendly space. The result is a raw and gritty setting perfect for the Harley-Davidson motorcycles and products.
Powder Plumb concrete look tiles were selected for the main showroom floor to give a raw, unfinished industrial style. Using the 750x750 format, we were able to lay the perfect base in which to display the bikes. Concrete is one of the most durable and long-lasting surfaces around and our range of concrete inspired products offer even more versatility and colour options together with the technical qualities of tile.
Chosen to add wonderful tonal variation and depth, the Inwood Dark Grey wood effect floor tiles give that natural reclaimed timber appearance. Inspired by contemporary wood, this striking collection boasts its own unique personality whilst at the same time featuring a completely natural look.
To give an oily, workshop finish to the walls, Rust 600x300mm Coal tiles were chosen. These floor and wall tiles are inspired by sheet metal which has been oxidised and corroded by time and bring a unique statement touch to the showroom’s design.
Completing the raw appeal of the garage, Terramix Bianco brick-effect tiles were chosen as an alternative to a costly exposed brick wall. Terramix, in the small 70x280 brick size, is a porcelain product intended to meet every need, both indoors and out.
Working with Focus Architecture & Surveying, STP Contractors & Midland Tiling, CTD Architectural Tiles specified a range of wall and floor tiles throughout the showroom that fit the brand’s raw gritty character.
